Very Sweet Buns
Why they are only two on the photo? Because they disappear before you can grab the camera, the family rush on them every time. Highly recommendable, very easy in making, like the tinyest investment into Love, hahahahaha =)
1tsp dry yeast
400-450 g a/p flour
250 ml milk, lukewarm
pinch of salt
100 g butter, soft
100 g sugar
12g vanilla sugar
For pour overing:
100 ml milk
50-100 g sugar
In a small bowl, mix yeast, sugar and 1 tbsp of flour. Add 100 ml of lukewarm milk and stir until the yeast mixture dessolves. Set aside until yeast starts to foam.
In a large bowl, mix the yolks and left milk. Add activated yeast and mix. Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt. Knead the dough until it becomes homogenous. It should be a little bit sticky. Form a ball and allow your dough to double in size in a warm place.
For filling, cream butter with sugar.
Roll dough on a floured surface into a circle or a square. Arrange the filling all over the dough circle/square. Roll it up. Cut the roll into 5 cm pieces. Arrange them on the previously greased baking tray, 1 cm one from another. Allow to rise.
Preheat the oven to 190ºC.
For over pouring, dissolve 50 g, for less sweetnes, up to 100 g, for very sweet result, sugar in a warm milk.
When the buns have doubles in size, pour over them a half of sweet milk. Bake for 20 min. Then pour over anothe half of sweet milk. Return to the oven for another 20 min or until golden brown.
Cool and serve!
