750 g beef, cubed
2 onions, chopped
10 tbsp yogurt
1 cup water
2 tbsp of hot pepper flakes or 2 chili peppers
oil for frying
Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add oil and when hot fry the beef in batches until brown. Set aside.
On a medium heat, fry onions with a small amount of salt until soft. Add hot pepper. Cook for 2-3 min stirring constantly.
Return beef into saucepan. Dilute yogurt with water and pour the yogurt-water mixture over the meet. The sauce should almost cover the meat. Cover with the lid and simmer for 2 1/2 – 3 hours on the lowest heat.
The meat is ready when it is tender and fall apart.
Add parsley and let it stay for at least 15 min.
