Spicy Mini Pizza With Onion
In this mini pizza we skip all usual pizza ingredients, making it more like a middle version between turkish buns and a regular big pizza. We add onion, fried in advance before going onto pizza top, and we add spicy red peppers.
300 ml of water, warm it up slightly,
15 g fresh yeast,
1,5 tsp of sugar,
1 tsp of salt,
500 g of AP flour (0000),
2 tbsp of oil (olive or corn are the best),
2 onions, sliced
1-2 chili peppers, sliced
2 tbsp oil for frying
In a small bowl, mix lukewarm water, yeast and sugar. Wait until foamy.
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and oil.
Knead with your hands for at least 10 min or unil smooth. Cover with cloth and allow to double in size for 1,5 – 2 hours in a warm place.
Meanwhile, fry onions until golden. Add chili and fry for 2-3 min.
Once the dough has doubled in size, devide it into small portions (mandarine’s size). Allow them to rise for about 20-30 min in a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 230°C.
Strech each ball to be a 1,5 cm thick. Top with onion and chili mixture.
Bake for 10 min.
