Simid, Turkish Breads
Ingredients:
milk, 200 ml
vegetable oil, 100 ml
dry yeast, 1 tsp
sugar, 2 tsp
salt 1 tsp
A/P flour as much as needed
egg yolk
Method:

Dissolve yeast in a warm milk. Add sugar, salt and vegetable oil. Combine well.
Add in some of the flour and mix. Continue adding your flour and mixing it into the dough. Knead the dough until it pull away from the sides of the bowl. Cover and let it double in size in a warm place.
Divide the dough in small balls ( size of the Ping Pong ball). To form a Simid, roll a ball into a quiet thin rope. Fold it in half. Twist the ends in opposite directions. Bring the ends around to form a ring. Seal the ends. Let them rest for 10-15 min.
Preheat the oven to 180 C.
Whisk the egg yolk. Brush your Simids with yolk.
Dredge Simids in the sesame seeds in upper (brushed) side. Arrange your Simids on the oven pan. DO NOT GREASE THE OVEN PAN.
Bake for 10 – 15 min or until golden brown.
Enjoy!
