Russian Salad Original named Olivier
All faces of the potato salad. They call it Russian salad in Europe and Americas, however the Russian version is not alike that popular one, even more it bears the name of the French cook – Olivier! the guy who invented it 100+ years ago. Behold the Russian version of Russian salad recipe!
4 medium potato
2 medium carrots
1 can sweet peas
500 g boiled beef meat/ Bologna/ boiled chicken fillet
6 hardboiled eggs
5 medium pickled cucumbers
In a large pot, cook UNPEELED potatoes and carrots for about 20-30 min or until a knife pierce through the center easily.
Alliw to cool. Peel.
Cut all the ingredients into small, 5mm cubes.
Combine. Mix well.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add mayo just before serving. You don’t need juices have appeared in this salad.
Decorate with dill and enjoy!
