1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 tsp hot pepper flakes
250 gr salami, cut into desired size pieces
2 medium tomato, sliced
1 cup lentils
2 cups water
2 tbsp oil for frying
Rinse lentils, pick up all debris and drain. In a medium pot, bring to a boil 2 cups of water and lentils (or cook them following the instructions on the package). Low the heat and cook until tender with a lid on.
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion, cook until tender. Add hot pepper flakes. Cook 2 min stirring constantly to avoid pepper flakes burn.
Stir in salami. Cook until salami darken slightly.
Add tomato, cook until desired thickness.
Add lentils, stir well and leave to simmer for 5 min.
Turn out the heat. Salt the lentils and let it rest for 5 min with a lid on. Enjoy!
